Building Brighter Futures in Bangladesh
Since 2021, Lily Charities has been committed to empowering communities in Bangladesh by breaking cycles of poverty through education. We’ve built schools, donated meals, provided scholarships, and are now focused on increasing literacy by building libraries. Together, we are transforming lives for generations to come.

The White Water Lily – A Symbol of a Bright Future
The water lily, the national flower of Bangladesh, is one of the country’s many distinctive native plant species, remarkable for its structure and growth. Rooted in the muddy soil of riverbeds, water lilies slowly make their way toward the surface. Once they reach the light, beautiful flowers blossom, revealing the fruits of their steady climb from the depths below.
Like the water lily, Bangladesh is a young country steadily inching its way toward the surface, poised to blossom ever more brightly in the years ahead. Having declared its independence less than 60 years ago, Bangladesh has made remarkable economic strides, with GDP per capita rising from roughly $100 in 1972 to approximately $2,700 by 2022.
The story of Bangladesh is only beginning. Despite its impressive progress, much work remains to be done. Lily Charities is committed to being part of that journey, helping Bangladesh continue to grow, flourish, and, like the water lily, blossom.
